IT NOW is a multi purpose warranty and inventory tracking system for technology and related item.You can easily track and monitor assets warranty validation by this application.It is simple and easy to use and maintenance.You can also note and store IP address and access details to future use.

Requirement

  • 1. Apache Based PHP Server
  • 2. PHP 5.3.x
  • 3. Mysql Server
  • 4. Mod Rewrite Enabled
  • 4. .htaccess Enabled
  • 4. Cron Jobs (via your hosting control panel)

Database Setup

Here are steps to create itnow database.

Login to your PHPMyadmin http://domain/phpmyadmin.

Create a new database or click on SQL and typeCREATE DATABASE {DB_NAME}

Create Database User

Create a new Database User {If a user doesn't exist} and allow privileges to Create, Delete, Update and Select from the database created above.

Steps for installation:

Step 1 – UNZIP AND UPLOAD FILES VIA FTP

Once you have downloaded your copy of the software, place it on your desktop and unzip the folder. You will now have a directory with a structure shown below

CHMOD FOLDERS & FILES

The following folders must have their permissions changed via FTP (CHMOD).

Typically for Folder you set the permission level to 777 or 755 (depending on your web host’s settings). If you have set to 777 and you find you are getting 500 SERVER ERROR then you must CHMOD back to 755. For file, the permission level needed is normally 666

  • ./application/config/autoload.php/
  • ./application/config/config.php
  • ./application/config/database.php
  • ./application/config/routes.php

Step 2 – START THE INSTALLATION WIZARD.

Open your website to a url similar to the one below. You must replace the words yourdomain.com with your real domain name. Follow all the steps to complete your installation

http://www.yourdomain.com/ or http://www.yourdomain.com/itnow

Step 3 – Enter Database information then click as below:-

  • 1. Your Host Name
  • 2. Your Database Username
  • 3. Your Database Password
  • 4. Your Database Name

Step 4 – Notice on alert message and button as image:-

  • 1. Well done! Your database connection is ready to install.
  • 2. Connection OK

If show message as above then enter next information

Step 5 – Enter your company name,email then enter login username and password

  • 1. Company name and email.
  • 2. Login username and password.
  • 3. Click

If show message as above then enter next information

Step 6 – Login with username and password.Enjoy!!!

  • III. Then click GO.Wait a minute to finish.

Step 5 – Open database.php from application->config and replace database details as your database server.

Route Configuration

Step 6 – Open route.php from application->config and replace string "install" to "login".

Step 7 – open any web browser and enter your host-name then Login with username and password.Enjoy!!!
